The Château de Charbonnières is a neo-Gothic castle located in the Perche Natural Park in Eure-et-Loir (28330). It is a small jewel of 3,000 m2, hidden in a setting of 32 ha. Built in the 16th century and enlarged in the 18th, it is richly decorated, the ceilings are gilded and the marbles original. The exteriors are not to be outdone with a French garden and the stream adjoining the property. King Henry IV was a frequent visitor.
The main building has 15 rooms including several suites with private lounges (reservation required). The castle also has a variety of traditional public rooms, including a ballroom, library and dining room.
